TODA Racing starter motor ring gear for Honda K20A engines

Leading Japanese tuning house TODA Racing is pleased to launch a new, uprated started motor ring gear for the popular K20A engine I-VTEC engine found in a host of hot Hondas. These include the EP3 and FN2 Civic Type R, plus the renowned DC-5 Integra Type R.

Given it’s strength and reliability, in recent years tuning the Honda K20A engine has grown in popularity and many engines now boast larger capacities and higher compression ratios than the factory intended.

Unfortunately, these extreme engine modifications put a large dynamic load onto the original Honda resin internal starter motor ring gear, which can lead to the teeth shearing off. Once this happens, the owner has no alternative but to replace the starter motor unit.

Fortunately TODA Racing now has a cure to this problem, in the form of its Heavy Duty ring gear, which is based on the original Honda part but features a number of advantages, including:-

  • High quality, high strength material construction for added durability
  • Special surface treatment to ensure direct compatibility with OEM Honda starter motor ring gear
  • Direct replacement for OEM Honda component

Developed, tested and proven to the high quality levels expected by TODA Racing’s technicians, the new Honda K20A Heavy Duty ring gear is available now exclusively from TODA Europe, a division of Torque Developments International Plc, priced at £207.00 including VAT @ 15%
