The ZC31S model of the Suzuki Swift Sport is a true mini hot hatch, but with its taut chassis dynamics and only 123 bhp on tap, it’s begging for more power. Enter legendary Japanese tuning house HKS, which has designed a range of Suzuki Swift bolt on turbocharger kits, available now from principal HKS distributor Torque Developments plc.
Designed to bolt on to the standard M16A 1.6-litre 16-valve engine, the HKS turbo kit comes in six different variants to suit all budgets and offers two dyno proven power outputs – a healthy 174 bhp or a very exciting 200 bhp plus – all without having to strip the engine!
Featuring a specially selected HKS branded Garrett T25 turbo for a rapid spool up at low boost pressures, the Suzuki Swift bolt on turbo kits come comprehensively equipped high quality components packed with the attention to detail that HKS is famous for – including a cast exhaust manifold and turbo downpipe, plus all the required oil feed pipework.
Bolted onto a standard engine and remapped using the preferred option of HKS’s renowned ‘plug and play’ F-Con iS piggy back ECU, the Suzuki Swift Sport bolt on turbo kit produces a dyno proven 174 bhp and 144 lb.ft running just 4.3 psi of boost, all from a stock engine.
But for Suzuki Swift Sport owners who want even more power, HKS offers a further upgrade step courtesy of the top of the range bolt on turbo kit, which adds an alloy intercooler and larger fuel injectors over 200 bhp is possible from this kit – HKS has dyno proven this in Japan, where its demonstrator produced 206 bhp and 182 lb.ft!
The three variants of the HKS Suzuki Swift Sport bolt on turbo (BOT) kits cover the basic BOT kit, the BOT kit plus the F-Con iS and the BOT plus the F-Con iS and the intercooler. Customers can choose whether to include the specially designed HKS sports catalyst, meaning there are six different versions of the HKS Suzuki Swift bolt on turbo kits to suit every budget.
