The new Honda Civic Type R FK8 HKS Intercooler 13001-AH005 (without pipes) has just been released!

The K20C engine achieves an impressive 320ps with 2.0L displacement because the boost pressure exceeds 150kPa. The stock intercooler’s cooling capacity is inadequate causing the engine intake air temperature to rise to almost 90℃ which is very high!

The HKS intercooler is using a larger core to maintain cooling performance, and whereas the stock intercooler piping layout has a sharp bend so causing a boost pressure loss, the HKS intercooler integrates the inlet side tank of the intercooler and pipe to provide a smooth air-flow and reduce air intake pressure loss.

Newly designed 100mm wide core is approximately 200% of the stock in the core capacity. This large core shows an overwhelming cooling performance difference.

Piping kit included.

Minor modification of the fan shroud and rubber part that comes in contact with the core is required.

S TYPE is designed for street use; ideal for stock vehicles, lightly tuned vehicles, and for vehicles with stock replacement type turbines. The engine response under street driving and performance at a mid to high speed range are well-balanced.

2. Triangular straight type
・Triangular straight type for less pressure loss of air flow.

(2) Outer Fin (triangular louver type)

・Cooling efficiency improved with louver because of the shorter length and angle of the fin.
・Wide surface of louver make it more efficient in cooling.
