This lightweight Variable Reluctance (VR) speed sensor accurately measures rotation speed and position. The accuracy of control depends on the information provided by this type of sensor as the ECU calculates its fuelling and spark schedule based upon engine speed. Typical applications are crank, cam and wheel speeds.
