ZC33S Swift ZC33S HKS Intercooler 13001-AS003 (with radar)

Air intake temperature is a vital element of a turbocharged vehicle’s performance. The colder the intake temperature is, the denser the oxygen content is – more power can be produced.

HKS has now released this Suzuki Swift ZC33S HKS Intercooler 13001-AS003 featuring an optimised R type 595 x 178 x 100mm core size (stock size is 690 x 135 x 50mm).

The Suzuki K14C turbo engine achieves 140ps with 1.4L displacement having an output that is very high in spite of its compact engine size.

Due to packaging constraints, the stock intercooler is placed behind the front bumper. However, the temperature of the air from the outlet of the stock intercooler exceeds 60℃ which is obviously insufficient to maintain performance and engine reliability.

The new intercooler has an optimised design of tube and core size considering the K14C engine characteristics based on various test data and accumulated know-how from long years of R&D for the intercooler design assuming an upgrade of the turbo to GTIII-FX. The cooling performance improvement and pressure loss reduction are very impressive.
