Duratec V6 Jenvey Throttle Body Kit
Improving engine performance is mostly about increasing Volumetric Efficiency – a measure of an engine’s ability to breath. Any restriction between the back of the intake valve and the air filter will reduce volumetric efficiency/performance, so it is therefore necessary increase the intake flow coefficient by straightening, shortening the flow path and reducing and restrictions to flow. Individual throttle bodies are a good way of achieving this, and give an added advantage of separating the cylinder intake flow of each cylinder.
Jenvey Dynamics has produced a kit for the Ford Duratec V6 engine which contains a pair of inlet manifolds, six 45mm SF throttle bodies, V linkage, fuel rails and six 90mm long airhorns. This is a downdraft kit so please check installation height. For the V6 Ford engine as used in the Ford Mondeo and the Noble. These kits are made to order.
